Many of us like to call ‘make-up’ as ‘makeover’, as this sounds trendier. But do you really know the difference between ‘make-up’ and ‘makeover’? Make-up refers to cosmetics applied to the skin. Whereas makeover is a complete enhancement of look of a person and that includes selecting the right pair of shoes/chappals, sari draping, organizing pallu/dupatta, hairdressing and designing, and make-up. So, make-up is a part of the makeover.

But whether it is make-up or makeover ultimately it is an art form which requires a skill. And skill comes through practice and experience. I have been practicing this art form for more than 25 years and have worked with hundreds of clients. But still, when I talk to a new client for makeup I take it up as a new challenge. Because make-up is not just the application of some colours on some one’s face, it is about enhancing her personality through the makeover.
